I have learned
that drawing skills improve more quickly when you cannot erase.
Constant erasing keeps the artist thinking that the lines are wrong.
This negativity is not conducive to improving. For many years, I
have been carrying a small sketch pad with me everywhere. Using
a pen to sketch when I am out and about, forces me to look even
harder at my subject matter.
The pen and ink drawings here are all done in my 4X6 inch sketch
book, while I was on the go or sitting through a boring meeting
or waiting for someone or admiring something.
