My first love was the pencil. I have always drawn with a very tight style, being that I am so anal retentive and such a control freak. Before I got used to the different paints I use, I was apprehensive about adding paints to my pencil drawings. I was afraid I would loose the beautiful lines I had so carefully drawn. This is something, I find that all beginners go through.

After I learned to loosen up, a little, I got to enjoy the quick gesture sketches and enjoy them for their simplicity.
